Puente Hills Landfill Studio

Jimmy Ta, an urban designer at EDGEland Studio, is currently teaching a fall design studio Landscape Architecture studio at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. This studio is focusing on the former Puente Hills Landfill, one of the largest landfill sites in the country, and researching landscape remediation interventions to address the various existing site conditions that comes along with former landfills.  Through careful planning and research, Jimmy and his class are designing a regional park for the City of La Puente and adjacent neighboring cities that provide recreational and educational opportunities for the neighboring communities.
