The 66 hectare Madinaty Open Air Mall offers a unique retail experience that is distinctively different than the tight and narrow streets of Egypt’s traditional souks and bazaars. The design and layout of the buildings ensure maximum flexibility in circulation and views, which promotes exploration throughout the project and provides a multitude of user experiences.
The interior of the project is framed with a 10-meter wide pedestrian promenade that functions as a pedestrian catalyst linking all nine buildings and retail storefronts. Located within the promenade loop is a lush 6 hectare park filled with a variety of programs and experiences including an arboretum, walking trails, outdoor amphitheater, and a large fountain.
